Yeah, but. Did you ever see Ken Burn's series on the Civil War. Much of it is stuides of incredibly interesting pictures backed up by actors reading letters between soldiers and their families. These letters are very articulate and compelling.But you have to ask yourself how many letters that went unmentioned were very rudimentary and how many people couldn't read and write at all.A hard copy letter is nice but muchof what we see today of the past is an edited romantic version.
